Kloie Picot

Kloie Picot has worn many hats in her life - from Fashion Designer and owner of Gift in West Berlin in the 80s (before the wall came down) to being a Nanny for an orthodox jewish family in a settlement in Occupied Palestine, English Teacher in S.E. Asia and conflict photographer in the West Bank, Levant, Asia, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. Kloie has now completed her bachelor’s degree in social work and will be earning her master’s in International and Community Development. The hope is to combine Social Work with photojournalism and tell people’s stories to promote social justice, and develop programs and projects to help people help themselves.

Kloie has been published in many magazines and newspapers and won awards in filmmaking such as “Shots that Bind, Palestinian Photojournalists in Nablus”. Please write to Kloie about any questions you may have, ideas you would like to share or to hire her for your projects, not only in photojournalism, but events, weddings, and portraiture. I look forward to hearing from you… don’t forget to take a look at the ongoing blog.
